1957 Chevrolet Bel Air

The Writeup

1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible represents a highly personalized take on one of the most recognizable American classics of the era. Rather than a stock restoration, this build combines the iconic tri-five styling with a full custom chassis, suspension, and braking setup, resulting in a car built for serious performance as much as presence. Under the hood is a 350ci small-block V8. Despite its smaller displacement, the engine has been built to deliver strong, aggressive performance, with a distinctive exhaust note to match. The car rides on a purpose-built, race-oriented frame with matching suspension and brake components, reflecting a build focused on capability rather than just appearance. Exterior finish is a deep, high-quality red paint, paired with a black Hartz cloth convertible top. Inside, the cabin has been fully customized, featuring an upgraded gauge package that complements the car's modernized mechanical foundation. According to the seller, the build began in the early 2000s and was completed over an extended period. Since the completion of the restoration and customization work, the car has covered fewer than 500 miles, with the odometer currently showing 493 miles. As a result, the vehicle presents in essentially new condition throughout, offering a rare opportunity to acquire a finished, low-mileage custom build rather than a project in progress.
